THE ALL NEW SUREFLAP DUAL SCAN MICROCHIP CAT DOOR

We recently had a request from a customer who was caught in a bit of a bind!!! He had one cat that desperately needed to get outside, otherwise the cat would end up shredding the furniture and carpets in frustration. The other cat, a Ragdoll, was however, not allowed outside, as she was likely to stray, and get into fights with the neighbourhood cats, and being small, had already been injured in the past.

Although a normal selective entry Cat Door could be reverse installed in order to keep the one cat inside, it unfortunately would not prevent neighbourhood cats entering the home, and they would not only eat the resident cats’ food, but also end up fighting with the owner’s cats inside the home.

Lo and behold, the new Sureflap Dual-Scan Microchip Cat Door was just released a few months ago, and offers the unique benefit of only allowing selected cats outside, while still preventing stray pets entering the home. It can be programmed to allow the entry / exit of up to 32 cats, although that feature would only likely be used by a breeder with many cats in one household. It also has a 4 way locking system to control the entry of the cats using the door, for example, needing the cats to stay inside prior to a visit to the Vet. In addition, any cat/cats not normally allowed outside, can still be selectively programmed into the Dual Scan Cat Door to allow entry back into the home, should they inadvertently get outside, such as when a door in the home has mistakenly been left open. They still cannot use the Cat Door to get outside.
