Many couples try their hand out at “parenting” a pet prior to deciding to bring a child into this world. In this blog, we’ll go over a few pets that are great choices for new couples.

Dogs

Dogs have been a man’s best friend for centuries. A dog’s devotion to his or her owner is unbelievable and can create a bond that is hard to break. When choosing a dog breed, be sure to think about how much time you will have to spend with your dog and how much land you have for your dog to explore. Larger breeds like German Shepherds and Great Danes require large yards to get exercise and may not be able to fit through your dog door.

Cats

Cats are also a great first pet for a couple because they are typically fairly low maintenance. Most cats only need a litter box and a little loving, and they’ll be great pets for life. However, cats can be passive aggressive, at times, so it’s important to keep an eye on your cat to ensure that they aren’t misbehaving!
